Not long after I had purchased (with the help of some inheritance money) my Canon Rebel XTi, my friend Keith was kind enough to let me borrow his macro lens to test it out to see if I wished to purchase one for myself.

At first I was at a loss for things to photograph – I mean, I’d never gotten quite that “up close and personal” before.

The weather turned, so I began hunting around the kitchen for things I thought might look interesting.

Ooh, where to focus with multiple layers???

I tried a few more odds and ends.

Then ended with a test of candles.

Well, after all that, I decided to purchase a macro lens for myself. Though, to be honest, I haven’t really used it much since I bought it. But there is always tomorrow.
