Pinterest

One word. Pinterest.

“Pinterest is an online pinboard. (Where you can) Organize and share the things you love.” Being a highly visual person, this is like, um… chocolate. Sweet. Addictive. Wonderful. 😉

Personally, I have set up over 25 different boards (categories of things I’m interested in) and currently, I follow about 30 different people – some with similar tastes to me, some with different tastes (for a nice contrast), and some simply my friends, so I can get a better idea about the things they’re into. I especially love that I can check it at any point and find inspiration. If the people I am “following” haven’t posted anything lately (to see these, you simply click on the Pinterest logo), I can click on the headings under the logo (“everything”, “videos”, “popular”, etc.) OR the dropdown boxes within those headings and get a taste of what the entire Pinterest community is pinning (i.e. adding to their personal boards). It’s so great that the pins are actual links, acting as bookmarks without jamming up your actual bookmarks (which don’t always have the most descriptive/revealing titles). Amazing.

Such a great way to see the cool things out on the interwebs without having to surf blindly. I highly recommend you check it out. If you want, you can start with my board of some of the cool things I Wanna Try. Crazy fun, huh? Just a thought, though. As a courtesy to the many hard-working people that post things on the internet, I implore you to credit the cool stuff you find, if at all possible. Hard with the Tumblr stuff, I know, but still, try. Anyhow. Go. Have fun. Maybe I’ll see you there. =)
