August Break 2012 – Day 14 Boz to GFalls

So. Day 5 of our trip meant it was time to start heading home. After some rather tense packing up (I think lack of good sleep + lots of activity were really starting to get to us), we met up with the family for some last minute goodbyes.

I love how they look all “movie walk” in this photo. 😉

Monkeyboy Jr. finally had a chance to give the bride and groom his hand-made LEGO mosaic gifts…

… and Monkeyboy Junior Jr. once again took some (assisted) photos.

Aunties and nephews… aww…

Bittersweet goodbyes…

And one last group shot. In the blaring sun (ooops). Then it was time to hit the open road once more.

Along the way I spied some strange black-to-white-to-black again flashing in the sky, which I tried to capture (rather unsuccessfully, I might add, but still…)

Upon zooming-in, I think it was a flock of Sandhill Cranes making their way somewhere. Which is pretty cool, if you ask me.

We got to Great Falls mid-afternoon, and I dropped the two eldest “boys” at the waterpark again, and took the youngest out for sushi. He hadn’t eaten much during our stay in Bozeman, so I was a bit antsy to get some good food in him.

I checked us into the hotel, we enjoyed some rides up and down on the “alligator” (elevator), and then we chillaxed in the room until the waterpark closed.

We decided to eat out at the “Golden Corral” for dinner – a huge buffet with crazy amounts of various foods.

Everyone got to eat whatever they were in the mood for (Italian, Chinese, Mexican, fresh-off-the-grill, plain ol’ salad bar…)

And Monkeyboy Junior Jr. decided to decorate the place a bit.

The dessert bar was a huge hit (not pictured: chocolate-covered strawberries!!!)

Then we sauntered over to the Old Navy to pick up some back-to-school bargains…

… and a few “just for fun” items too.

On our way back to the hotel, I spotted this sign… and in my head, it tells a love story of some kind. 😉

Then it was time to crash once more. Whew. Are we home yet?
