August Break 2012 – Day 20

August Break 2012 – Day 20

Yeah. So, only two other people showed up to help paint seats yesterday. These fabulous ladies and I got only a small portion of the theatre seats done, and are going back tonight (with a plea for more people to help) to finish the rest. Thus, another short and sweet post for today.

The jumble of mismatched seating went from this…

… (after MUCH trial and error to find the best technique)…

… to this. Durable, a bit funky, and totally easy to read – even from a distance. Woo! Ushering just got a million times easier. =)

If there’s one thing this little project has shown me (yet again), it’s who truly is the “heart and soul” of the theatre – as opposed to the “face” (and/or “ego”) of the place. Which is good, in a way, because it helps me to know where to invest my time and energy in the future. =)
