Birthday Celebrations

Well, it was that time of the year again. Time to turn yet another chronological year older (although, I’m a firm believer in the whole “age is only a state of mind” thing). As I have spent the last few birthdays taking care of my children mostly (i.e. I spent my 40th with a wee newborn), I decided it was finally time to enjoy a little more celebrating than usual. As luck would have it, two of my best friends just happened to be in town during the week, and not only did I get to enjoy some amazingly fabulous quality time with them, but I was treated to some wonderful meals!

Throw in a spa day in a nearby mountain town, a mini-shopping-spree, a long overdue haircut and colour, a fun Zumba performance and amazing report card on behalf of Monkeyboy Jr., stunning flowers from my girlfriend (bet you’ve never been sent flowers purchased with “Mad Men” monies), other lovely gifts and generous well wishes, organic and heirloom seeds for my garden, and a sensational date night with my handsome man – including complementary tickets to go and see Great Big Sea… and, well… I feel like I may have aged an entire year in the last week, but oh BOY, was it ever worth it!!! I am so veryveryvery blessed! Thank you all. xo
